Why Jamba Juice Fruit Smoothies Make Healthy Kids

One of the many challenges we face as parents is how to encourage our children to have a healthy attitude to nutrition. This is particularly the case when treating them to meals outside the home. Watch the commercials on children's/teen programs and virtually all the exciting places presented to them are the worst possible dining options in terms healthy nutrition. Calorie laden, high fat Burger outlets, Pizza Parlours, Fried chicken; the list goes on. They attract families with cartoon characters, kids gifts, play areas and even entertainment. But the food they offer is poor quality in terms of nutritional value, and by taking our children to such places we encourage them to believe that high fat burgers are rewards for their good behavior.

As a parent, for many years I was frustrated at the options available. Healthy eating outlets simply did not to my children as they grew older. They didn't have free gifts or lots of fries, or a play area. They were boring. That was until I stumbled upon Jamba Juice, which I am going to shamelessly promote for the rest of this article, even though I have no link to them at all except as a customer.

Jamba Juice sell Healthy Fruit smoothies, but what really sets them apart is that they make it fun for the kids. The stores are open, clean and friendly, with lots of activity going on. The smoothies are made in front of you, so you see exactly what's going into them, as well as being engaging in the process. And the service is fast and presented in simple cups. All things that make my kids love it.

The fact that the product is so healthy makes it a win/win both for me and my children. The products are pure fruit mixed together into different offerings. You can even add shots of protein and other natural additions if you wish. There are other alternative healthy options if a juice drink doesn't appeal, including sandwich wraps, granola breakfast pots, and salads.

So, whether it be a quick visit after soccer practice or a family trip before going to the cinema, Jamba Juice is our favorite place to dine. It has become an integral part of our family schedule. For me it sends all the right messages to my children, that a reward is delicious and healthy rather than fatty and calorie laden.
